Juanita Charlotte Nugent, 89, peacefully passed away at her residence in Raywood surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 27, 2017.
Services for Mrs. Nugent will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 4, 2017 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday evening at the funeral home. Burial will follow at a later date in Monroe-Fregia Cemetery.
Juanita was born March 13, 1928 in Arlington, Texas and lived most of her life in Liberty, Texas. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a Sunday school teacher for the Pentecostal Tabernacle in Liberty for many years and firmly believed in the good Lord and family. Juanita worked for the Liberty Independent School District for about 15 years, and loved to spend time surrounded by family and friends.
Mrs. Nugent was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Alta May Myrick, two brothers, Lester Myrick and Billy Foster Smith, husband, Jerry L. Nugent, and son, J. Lee Nugent. Her survivors include four sisters, Liz and Eugen LeBlanc, Dolly Olson, Betty Gillory, and Mary and Jessie Parker and two brothers, Charles Luke Myrick and Curtis Myrick; eight children, Tom and Trish Nugent of Beeville, Enda and Benny McWilliams of Jasper, Wayne and Barbara Nugent of Raywood, Charlotte Babb of Raywood, Albert and Carrie Nugent of Honey Island, Linda Lamey of Raywood, Jason Nugent of Hardin, and Tina and Dickie Austin of Raywood; also numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
