Jonel Mathis

Jonel Mathis, age 94, of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012. She was born in Alvin, Texas on September 22, 1918 to parents, John Benjamin Dodson and Elizabeth Merriman Dodson who preceded her in death along with one brother and four sisters. Survivors include her husband, Keith Mathis SR.; son, Keith Mathis JR and wife, Jan; daughter, Virginia Mathis Campbell and husband, Bud; grandchildren, Scott, Tisha, Marissa, Luke, Kristin, Amy; great-grandchildren; Cameron, Emma, Abby, Joey; sister, Helen Dodson Black; numerous nieces, nephews and so many other wonderful family members and friends that loved her so much. Rev. David Green presided over services held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., October 30, 2012 at First United Methodist Church, Coldspring, Texas with interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Coldspring, Texas.
