Johnny Addington

John “Johnny” Curtis Addington, Jr. 68, of Dayton passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2018. He was born April 2, 1949 in Dayton, Texas to parents, John Curtis Addington, Sr. and Alma Lee George Addington.

Johnny was a longtime resident of Dayton and had lived in Nacogdoches for the past 20 years. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam. Johnny loved life and being with his family. He enjoyed being outdoors, motorcycles and visiting with his friends. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and could operate almost anything.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Gene Addington and Lloyd Addington, and his brother-in-law Gary Holley. He is survived by the last love of his life, Sharon Addington of Louisiana; his son, Brett Addington and wife Susan of Dayton; his brother, George Addington and wife Linda of Dayton; his sister, Lela Holley of Dayton; several grand and great-grandchildren; also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A private family memorial will be held at a later time. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton, Texas.
