Johnnie Lymon Welch, 88, went to be with the Lord on August 30, 2014 in Conroe, Texas. He was born November 13, 1925 in Huntsville, Texas to parents Thomas and Esther Morgan Welch. Mr. Welch had lived in Conroe for the past 12 years and had previously lived in Cleveland. He was a supervisor for the telephone company before retiring. He proudly served during World War II in the US Marine Corp. Johnnie loved to hunt, fish, and to be outside building things. He loved the Lord and loved to help others in need. He was a member of Mims Baptist Church. Services for Mr. Welch will be 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Larry Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Morgan Cemetery in Cleveland. Visitation for Mr. Welch will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at Pace –Stancil. Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents and brother William “Dub†Welch. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Bobbie Jean Dodd Welch; daughters, Brenda Carol Welch, Esther Lyne Galan, and Karen Darlene Jolly; sons, Daniel Wayne Welch and wife Shannon, Thomas Gregory Jolly and spouse Donna; grandchildren, Rachael Breaux, David Galan, Cheyne Galan, Robert Galan, Heather Welch, Sean Welch, Erin Welch, Ryan Jolly and Beau Jolly; ten great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
