Johnnie Eugene Mize, Sr.

Johnnie Eugene Mize Sr., age 89, of Livingston, Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in Livingston. He was born February 05, 1923 in Oakhurst, Texas to Oscar C. and Ruby Mae Mize who preceded him in death along with brother Lew Mize, sister Viola Anderson, brother Ray Mize, brother Jessie Mize, sister Edith Sweeten, brother O.C. Mize, and sister Ola West. Survivors include his devoted wife of 69 years Ruth Estelle Mize; sons Johnny Mize Jr. and wife Sarah, Jerry Mize and wife Barbara, and Tom Mize; daughters Glenda Farmer and husband Steve, Janie Burwick and husband Edgar, and Pat Locke and husband Lance; sister Vivian Ailes; brother George Mize; twenty-one grandchildren; fifty-six great-grandchildren; twenty-two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other cherished family and faithful friends throughout the years. Visitation will be held Friday, June 29, 2012, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro Melvin Holifield and Bro. Kyle Locke will preside over funeral services being held Saturday, June 30, 2012, 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. A private burial for the family will be held afterward.
