John Banks Tillman, Sr., 79, of Cleveland, TX passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014 in Houston, TX. He was born January 22, 1935 in Houston, TX to parents, Clyde and Margie Tillman. Services for Mr. Tillman will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland. Interment will follow at Spring Ridge Cemetery, Camilla, TX. Visitation is 9:00a.m.-11:00 a.m.., Tuesday, prior to service, at the funeral home. Mr. John Tillman was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Margie Tillman; daughters, Cynthia Donise Tillman and Emily Tillman; son Andrew Tillman; sister, Lula Mae Sapp; brother, Claude Tillman. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife of 57 years, Clara Tillman; daughters, Deborah Williams and husband Craig, Murray Diane Ransom, and Clarice Christian; son, John Tillman, Jr. and wife Cynthia; twelve grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
