Tommy White, 64, of Dayton, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 in Liberty. He was born February 11, 1953 in Berlin, Germany to his late parents, Bill Griffitts and Catherine “Katie” Harbeck Griffitts.
Tommy had lived in Dayton most of his life. He was a 1972 graduate of Dayton High School and was a retired gauger from Liberty Forge. Tommy was a hunter and fisherman, enjoying all outdoor activities. He loved being with his family, especially his grandbabies. He will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Claude and Helen White; brother, Joseph “Joey” White and a sister, Delores Dunlap.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Karen White of Hardin; sons, Brandon White and his wife Kimberly of Cypress, and Kody White of Hardin; brothers, Pat White and his wife, Donna of Dayton and Steve White and his wife, Ouida of Mont Belvieu; grandchildren, Tyler Chase White and Shelby Grace White of Cypress; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the funeral home with Rev. Garry Masterson officiating. Burial will follow at Palms Memorial Park Cemetery
Pallbearers will be Coy Duty, Ricky McGowan, Rodney McGowan, Eric Rhodes, Cory White, Jimmy White, Trevor White, Jacob Yeater. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Aldrich, Billy Mitchell, and Josh Yeater.
