John Peter Mcdanel

John Peter McDanel, age 95 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Friday, August 5, 2016. He was born December 24, 1920 in Marion, Indiana to parents William and Gertrude McDanel who preceded him in death along with his wife, Mary L. McDanel; brothers and sisters, Lavone Brandt, Nova Lewis, Royace McDanel, Ella McDanel and William Leon McDanel.

Survivors include his son, Bruce McDanel; daughter, Kathy Blazek; grandchildren, Tracey McNulty and husband Ronnie, Jill Sanford and husband Michael, Matthew McDanel and wife Kimberly, Shaun Phillips, Kristi Bailey and husband Jimmy, Lindsey Phillips; great-grandchildren, Megan McDanel, Ronnie McNulty, Alton McNulty, Forrest Sanford, Tyler McDanel, Brady McDanel, Macray Phillips, Augustus “Gus” Phillips, Hunter Phillips, Bella Phillips, Layton Bailey, Bayleigh Watson and Jordyn Bailey; great-great-grandson, Ethan McDanel; numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Cleveland, Texas. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m., at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
