John “Bo” Manners, 75, passed away on June 18th, 2024. Bo was born to proud parents Pierce Drewery Manners and Patricia Ann Gibson on December 12th, 1948 in Dayton, Texas. John worked as a machinist in the oilfield for many years and was very skilled in his line of work. In his free time, he was a sports enthusiast, supporting his favorite teams like the Houston Texans and the Astros. However, Bo always made time for what mattered most, his cherished family. He loved his wife, kids, and grandkids, spending as much time as he could with them.
Bo is preceded in death by his parents, Pierce and Patricia Manners; brother, Glenn Douglas Manners. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy Manners; sons, James Manners, Paul Manners and wife Wendy; daughter, Shannon Tarver and husband Ray; brother, Robert Manners and wife Terrie; sister, Deb Davis and husband Alvin; grandchildren, Trey, Caitlyn, Taylor, Christopher, Candice, Cloe, Henry, Lincoln; great-grandchildren, Riley and Colin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Bo will be held on Monday, June 24th from 5- 8 pm at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to assist with the cost of Bo’s funeral expenses.
