John Henry Hoagland, Sr.

John Henry Hoagland, Sr., age 74 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018. He was born July 9, 1944 in Cleveland, Texas to parents John Therman and Lettie Vandver Hoagland who preceded him in death along with his siblings, Judy Hoagland, Joyce Frisina, Roy Hoagland, Floyd Hoagland, and Lois Hopkins; and grandson, John “CJ” Hoagland, III Petty Officer ET2 2nd Class who was lost on the USS McCain.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Teresa Ann Reed; his daughter, Lettie “Punkin” Witter; son, John “Cactus” Hoagland, Jr. and wife Stephanie; sisters, Wanda Carpenter and husband Barney, and Nina Yeager and husband Mike; brothers, Charles Hoagland and wife Debbie, Ray Hoagland and wife Marilyn, Donald Hoagland and wife Betty, and Steve Hoagland; grandchildren, Shelbe, Hunter, Hannah, Klayton, and Rylee; great-grandchildren, Paysen, Taylor, and Bransen; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2018 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas.
