John Gabriel Tapp

John Gabriel Tapp, age 40, of Shepherd, Texas passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022. He was born January 11, 1982, in Houston, Texas to parents Tina Rice Tapp and James Russell Tapp. He is preceded in death by his uncle, Franklin David Rice, Jr.; grandparents, Franklin David Rice, Sr. and Carolyn Christine Rice, Elsie Tapp and Russell Tapp; and aunt, Darlene Rice.

Survivors include his wife, Starla Tapp; parents, Tina Rice Tapp and James Russell Tapp; son, Cash Tapp; stepsons, Dawson Snead and Wyatt Snead; sister, Rebecca Marie Tapp; brother, James Allen Tapp; nieces, Paige Marie Tapp and Savannah Tapp; great-uncle, Charles Rice; uncles, Robert Rice, James Rice and wife Rebecca, Cynthia Manthey and husband Carl, Sharon Parkman and husband Jim, and Brenda Rice Akers; cousins, Robert Rice, Jr., Melissa Rice, Carrie Rice, James Rice, Jr., Megan Cooper, Austin Manthey, Christopher Rice, Mary Parkman Godina, James D. Parkman, Joshua Parkman, Julia Rice Broyles, Gregory Rice, and Michael Rice; along with numerous others he considered his brothers.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with funeral services starting at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Red Rock Cemetery.
