John E. Martinez

John E. Martinez, born July 16, 1928, passed away November 2, 2010.  He was born to George and Edna (Santos) Martinez; both preceding him in death along with his siblings, Willie Mae Martinez, Glenn David Martinez, Archie Mae Martinez, George B. “Chubby” Martinez. Johnny spent 26 years in the U.S. Air Force, loving every minute of it.  He and his wife, Camilla were together 25 of those years.  They were married 58 years before his death.  He spent 16 years with Brown & Root after his retirement from the Air Force. He always loved his jobs, his God, his family, his loving church family and friends.  He will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his loving wife, Camilla Lum-Martinez; sons, John Michael Martinez, Gary DeWayne Martinez and wife, Rachel; granddaughters, Deseree Martinez Probasco and Danny, Savanha Martinez and Matt, Madelyn Martinez; great-grandchild, Isabel Probasco; brothers and sisters, James Franklin Martinez and wife, Clarene, Aline Martinez-Heathman and husband, Vernon, Elsie Martinez-Wells and husband, Frank, Donnie Ray Martinez and wife, Martha, Billy Ray Martinez and wife, Carol, Doyle Martinez and wife, Debbie; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and treasured friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 4, 2010, 5:00-8:00 p.m., Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas.  Pastor David Stovall and Pastor Jerry Mathews will preside over funeral services being held at 12:00 Noon, Friday, October 5, 2010, Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Lum Garden of Memories, Cleveland, Texas.  Pallbearers include Mack White, Colby Morris, David Wells, Dillon Dechow, Joshua Oestman, and T.J. McBee.
