Funeral services for Jody Lynn Avery Johnston, 52, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 29, 2016 in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. Interment will follow in the Palms Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas.

Jody was born on December 30, 1963 in Channelview, Texas and passed away on April, 25, 2016 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She is preceded in death by her dad, Jim Martin.

She is survived by her daughters, Kameron Jenkins and A.J. of Gaffney, South Carolina and Janea Johnston and Alex Nutt of Nashville, Tennessee; granddaughter, Harleigh Jenkins of Gaffney, South Carolina; mother, Barbara Martin of Muskegon, Michigan; siters, Danielle Marsh and Stanton of Livingston, Texas, Tommie Neal of Dayton, Texas, Sonnie Quin and Hugh Damek of Liberty, Texas, Mary Jane Preston and Terry of Baytown, Texas, and Julie Martin of La Porte, Texas; brother, George Avery of Livingston, Texas; sister, Renae Des Rochers of Mobile, Alabama; nieces and nephews, Boyd Allen, Jessica, Blake, Nathan, Jake, Aaron, Daniel, and George; great-nieces and nephews, Allie, Micah, Brooklyn, and Emma; special friend, Mrs. Daniels of Baytown, Texas; father of her girls, Mark Johnston of McMinnville, Tennessee; extended family, Beth Cochran Harris and Gary, Christie Cochran Oswalt and family, Corky Cochran, J.W. Cochran, and Dude Cochran; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
