Joann Colette Pope

JoAnn Colette Pope, age 80 and a resident of Onalaska, Texas, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013. She was born April 27, 1933 in Houston, Texas to parents Clarence and Ruth Mary Cargill who preceded her in death. Mrs. Pope was a dedicated Registered Nurse. She enjoyed working in the garden and had a tender heart for all kinds of animals. She lived life with beauty and grace; she was kind and giving, loving and deeply devoted to her family. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Ellis Sydney Pope; daughters, Debbie Ruth Cabinella, Terri Renée Moore and husband Donald Dale; brother Clifton Cargill; grandchildren, Richard Carter, Daven Carter, Madison Pilkington, Elise Moore Paul; great-grandchildren, Olivia Carter, Vincent Carter, and Leah Paul; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and faithful friends throughout the years. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 27, 2013, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. John Bell and Bro. Don Wilson will preside over funeral services being held Monday, October 28, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel. A graveside service will following at 12:30 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale, Houston, Texas.
