Joan Ella Akridge

Joan Ella Akridge, age 69 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016. She was born September 13, 1946 in Bryan, Texas to parents Willie Schulz and Annie Williams who preceded her in death along with her brothers, Willie Schulz Jr., Charlie Schulz, Leroy Schulz, Wilburn Lee Schulz, and Lawrence Schulz; sisters, Nelda Henninger and Mary Miller; former husbands, Lee Roy Martin, Ray Akridge, and Jerry Armstrong; and step daughter, Janet Martin Heppler .

Survivors include her sisters, Betty Peters, Dora Redden, Linda Martinez, and Rosa Lee Ash; children, Robert Martin and wife Karen, Paula Armstrong, Barbara Amos and husband Dustin, Patricia Lange and husband Micheal, and Bruce Armstrong; step daughter, Shiela Martin Turner and husband Kenneth; grandchildren, Christopher Martin, Cody Martin, Caleb Martin, Brayson Armstrong, Taylor Lee, Heather Lee, Amanda Hickman, Louis Hickman, Samantha Lange, Micheal Lange, Tiffany Armstrong, Bruce Armstrong Jr., Destiny Armstrong and Traci Turner; along with numerous great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Pace Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens.
