Jo Ann Epperson Parmley, 79, of Dayton, died Saturday, September 19, 2015, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Jo Ann was born April 12, 1936 in Beaumont, to parents; Aubrey C. and Mary Thelma Garrison Epperson, a former resident of LaPorte, and has resided in Dayton for the past 13 years. She was a graduate of the South Park High School, attended Lamar University, retired sales clerk for Macy’s Department Store, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Dayton. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Mrs. Parmley was preceded in death by her parents and brother: Charles Epperson. She is survived by her husband of 59 years: Dean Parmley of Dayton, son: Kim Lee Parmley and wife Becky of Baytown, daughter: Deana Ann Bryan and husband Rick of LaPorte, sister: Peggy Mitchell of Dayton, brother: Larry Epperson of Dallas, grandchildren: Barrett Helbert and wife Shannon, Cody Bryan, and K.P. Parmley and wife Amber, great-grandchildren: Jesse, Kimber, and Kora, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
