Jimmy Wayne Long

Jimmy Wayne Long was born in Carthage, Texas on June 7, 1950 to parents, James Riley Long and Sadie Mae Walker Long. He passed away September 15, 2022 in Cleveland, Texas at the age of 72. Jimmy Wayne served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He loved to build things with all different kinds of wood. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Jimmy Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, James Riley and Sadie Mae Long; brother, Bobby Long; sister, Charlotte Cowart; daughter, Tysa Lynn Long; nephew, Mark Gregory Cowart. He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Rachael Long; grandchildren, Quinten Long, Robert Rivera, Emily Rivera, Sara Rivera; nephews, Brian Cowart and wife Stacy, and Brandon Caples. Jimmy Wayne will be laid to rest at the Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
