Jimmie Otis Beasley

  Beasley Jimmie O. Beasley, 78, of Splendora, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at the Icon Hospital in Humble.   Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2011, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Ryan Cemetery in Tarkington Prairie.  Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.  Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.   Jimmie was born June 7, 1932 in Naylor, MO, to parents Johnson and Alice Elliott Beasley, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Splendora for the past 30 years.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force with service during Korea, a retired letter carrier for the US Post Office, and a former reserve deputy for the Harris County Sherriff’s Office.  He also enjoyed playing dominoes, gardening, fishing, hunting, wood working, and spending time with family and friends.   Mr. Beasley was preceded in death by his parents, brother:  Kenneth Lee Beasley, and grandchildren:  Danny Ray Beasley and Julie Beasley.  He is survived by his wife of 26 years:  Avis Grimes Beasley of Splendora, sons:  Ray Beasley and wife Valerie of Splendora and Keith Beasley of Oklahoma City, OK, daughters:  Bonnie Pimentel and husband Eddy of Austin, Donna Brown and husband Mark of Crosby, Melissa Hardie and husband Tom of Huffman, Shannon Ware and husband Patrick of Huntsville, and Anneliese Ayers of Spring, brother:  Jerry Beasley of Valdosta, GA, sisters:  Mary Redfern and husband Sterling of Harlingen, Evelyn Cooper and husband Terry of Doniphan, MO, Doris Mauer and Ken of Montrose, CO, and Donna Hall and husband Jack of Doniphan, MO, grandchildren:  Jenny Williams and husband Arik, Cortney Cleveland and husband Brooks, Joey Beasley, Cody Butler, Cameron Butler, Lauren Pimentel, Charlotte Odale, Kaitlyn Ware, Kara Ware, Wyatt Hardie, Dallas Smith, Deena Smith, Drake Smith, and Daniel Smith, great-grandchildren:  C. J. Cleveland, Sofia Williams, Hudson Cleveland, Beket Williams, Andalyn Cleveland, and Brooklyn Chipman, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
