Jim Bailey

Dwain (Jim) Bailey, 74, of Crosby, passed away on September 19, 2021, in Baytown. Jim was born November 20, 1946, in Mooresville, North Carolina to parents George Bailey, Sr. and Dorothy Skarweoki Bailey.

Jim and his late wife Judy were married on August 30, 1975 and had lived in the Crosby area since 1980. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army as a captain. He received two Purple Heart’s and a Bronze Star with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, among numerous other commendations. He completed both Ranger and Airborne school and served in the 25th infantry. Jim also was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being in the outdoors. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Bailey, his parents and brother, George Bailey, Jr. He is survived by his son, Bryan Bailey and wife, Raquel, grandchildren Addison Bailey, Brylea Bailey and Caroline Bailey; son, Paul Bailey and fiancé, Lisa Berry; other family and friends.
