Jessie LaTour, 62, of Eastgate, died Monday, June 11, 2012, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 14, 2012, at the Eastgate Catholic Cemetery in Eastgate with burial following thereafter. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Jessie was born November 20, 1949 in Bunkie, LA, to parents; Laurent and Hilda Gobert LaTour, a former resident of Cloverleaf, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 21 years. He was a retired truck driver, member of St. Anne’s Catholic Mission, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, and gardening.
Mr. LaTour was preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Laurie Lynn LaTour, and brother: James “Earl” LaTour. He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Linda Ballard LaTour of Eastgate, daughter: Jolene LaTour and Billy Panzer of Eastgate, brother: Charles LaTour of Galena Park, sister: Sandra Lizscano of Houston, grandchildren: Jessie Franklin Davis and Timothy Don Davis, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
