Jerry Wayne Jones, 68, of Dayton died Tuesday, August 10, 2010 in Houston. He was born February 17, 1942 in Liberty County to parents Robert Lee and Rosalee Tanner Jones.  A lifetime resident of this area, Jerry was currently working for Austin Industrial at Equistar in Mont Belvieu. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church, enjoyed working in the yard, his garden and doing special woodworking projects. He was always known for helping others and being a kind, wonderful sweet person that loved his family. Services for Mr. Jones will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 13, 2010 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Dayton with Rev. Jimmy Charles officiating and Robert Hajovsky speaking. Interment will follow at Lum Garden of Memories in Macedonia. Pallbearers are Littleman, Jarrett Jones, Toby Jones, Shane Hajovsky, Robert Hajovsky, and Jennifer Lujan. Honorary Pallbearers are  Roger Tanner, Jodie Tanner and Bo Lehan. Visitation will be 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his father: Robert Lee Jones and his brother: Clarence E. Jones. He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Judy L. Jones of Dayton;  daughter: Connie Lehan and husband Bo of Dayton; son: Carl Jones & wife Glenda of Dayton; mother: Rosalee Tanner Jones of San Antonio; brother: Earnest Jones & wife Rose Marie of Dayton; his sister: Shirley Costolow of San Antonio; Five Grandchildren: Robert Hajovsky, Shane Hajovsky, Jennifer Lujan, Jarrett Jones, and Toby Jones; Eleven Great-Grandchildren; also numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
