Jerry Wilson Lehr, 82, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2024, in Porter, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 28, 1941, in Pelly, Texas, to the proud parents Woodrow Wilson Lehr and Raye Collins Lehr. Jerry's life journey took him through various places across the United States, but he always held the Baytown area and Pearl River, dear to his heart, often expressing, "home is where my girls are."

Jerry spent most of his life in Baytown, Texas, and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1959. He was a mechanical engineer by profession, showcasing his skills and passion in various capacities. Jerry's interests were diverse, ranging from camping and fishing to woodworking and assisting others as a handyman. He was also an avid gun collector, reflecting his multifaceted personality and interests.

More than anything, Jerry cherished moments spent with his family. He was a people pleaser, always ready to lend a helping hand and bring smiles to the faces of those around him. A spiritual man with a deep faith in God and Jesus, Jerry's life was guided by his unwavering belief and love for his religion.

Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sylvia Gayle Lehr, his daughter Sherrie Jeanne Jones, stepdaughter Nina Johnson, grandchildren Frankie Cook, Jr., and Alexandrea Nikole Webb, as well as his brother Larry Wayne Lehr. He is survived by his children, Heather Lehr Jones and husband Joey, and Amanda Lehr Jackson and husband Ricky; step-children Lindy Sanders and family, Ellen Cook, husband Frankie and family, Rudolph Ronald Adam III, wife Jessica and family, Thomas Christopher Adam; grandchildren Jerry Ray Webb, Ricky Joe Jackson, Jr., and wife Morgan, Cody Willson Edward Webb, Chelbe Lyn Payne, Noah Wayne Jackson, great-grandchildren Mylee, Diana, Ami, Jay, Kenny, Samuel; sister-in-law Virginia Lehr and her children Terrance and Taylor, and the family of Nina Johnson. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and other cherished family members.

A visitation to honor Jerry's life will take place on Wednesday, April 10, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. A graveside service will be held at the Houston National Cemetery on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 2:15 p.m. Pallbearers for Jerry will be Ricky Jackson, Ricky Jackson, Jr., Joey Jones, David Strickland, Ronnie Adam, Matthew Adam and Onnie Jackson.
