Jerry Lee Keenan, Sr.

Jerry Lee Keenan, Sr., 83, of Tarkington Prairie died Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Mr. Keenan was born May 22, 1934 in Ogden, Utah to parents, Patrick Keenan, Sr. and Goldie Davis Keenan.

The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2017 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2017 at Ryan Cemetery.

Mr. Keenan was a resident of the Tarkington area for over 42 years and was previously of Highlands. He served in the United States Army during WWII as a medic and was stationed in Germany. He also enjoyed collecting coins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Bobby Keenan, David Keenan and Baby Keenan; step-son, Leslie Ledford; sister, Patsy Webb; brothers, Timmy Keenan and Tommy Keenan; his former wife Wanda Keenan Miles. Jerry is survived by his wife of 46 years, LaVern Keenan of Tarkington Prairie; sons, Timothy Keenan of Iowa, Rodney Keenan of Nebraska, Jerry Keenan, Jr. of Nebraska and Terrance Keenan and wife Donna of Georgia; daughter, Debra Hopkins and fiancé Wade Osborne of Tarkington Prairie; step-children, James Ledford of Dayton Lake Estates and Carla Prieto and husband Ted of Splendora; brothers, Joe Keenan and wife Jackie of Nebraska and Ron Keenan and wife Judy of Oregon; sisters, Frances Burkett of Channelview and Cora Sue Howarter of Coldspring; several grandchildren, including Jay Grider and wife Danielle, Tod Hopkins, Trinity Willaby, Amanda Hopkins, Tracy Barnes and Morgan Hopkins; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
