Jerome (Buddy) Morse 86, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in Dayton. He was born June 11, 1931 in Baytown to his late parents, George Morse and Stella Gardner Morse.
Mr. Morse has lived in Dayton since 1943, was a graduate of Dayton High School, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, retired pipefitter foreman from Brown & Root and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, gardening and wood working.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 50 years, Mary Morse and brothers, Raymond Morse and Charles Ray Morse.
Survivors include his sons, Scotty Morse and his wife, Mitzy, Kris Morse and Jerry Morse and his wife, Kyle; daughter, Debbie Lonadier; grandchildren, Jennifer Pauwels, Ashley Trochessett, Allison Shirley, Jerry Morse, Jr., Courtney Wolter, Kerry Lonadier, Raven Morse, Scotty Morse, Jr. and Natasha Morse; great-grandchildren, Kylie Trochessett, Blake Trochessett, Paige Pauwels, Jacob Pauwels, Kadence Trochessett and Aiden Shirley; his ex-wife, Ruby Morse and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2017 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton followed by a service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Brother Pat Pechacek officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Morse, Scotty Morse, Jim Haynes, Kenneth Kennon, Jimmy Cumberland and Scotty Morse, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Louie Johnson, David Taylor and Mike Barrington.
