Jeanette Marie Taylor Mifflin, 84, of Liberty, Texas, passed away on April 2, 2025.
Jeanette was born on November 4, 1940, in Edgerly, Louisiana, to Ivy Taylor and Dosia Melancon. She was a proud 1958 graduate of Dayton High School. Throughout her life, Jeanette was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, known for her warmth, kindness, and bright spirit.
Jeanette cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always filling the room with joy and laughter. She was a passionate reader, particularly fond of Danielle Steel novels, and had a true love for cooking, often sharing her culinary creations with those she loved. She found joy in simple pleasures such as shopping, hunting for bargains at garage sales and resale shops, and indulging in the occasional trip to the casino. Jeanette's fondness for jewelry, especially anything flashy, was well-known, and she had a special love for the music of Elvis Presley.
A generous soul, Jeanette was known for her ability to offer kind and heartfelt compliments to everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James C. Mifflin, as well as several beloved family members, including her brothers-in-law Stanley Ripkowski, Carlton Mifflin, Harold Mifflin, Harry Joe Daniel, Sid Flowers, August Ripkowski, and George Turner, sisters-in-law Bitsy Flowers, Georgia Daniel, Ellen Mifflin, and Naomi Ripkowski, and nephews Greg Ripkowski, Milton Mifflin, Dane Daniel, and Ronnie Ripkowski; niece, Dena Daniel.
Jeanette leaves behind her son, Jimmy Mifflin and wife Jenniva; her daughter, Angie Doskocil and husband Paul; her brother, Bill Taylor and wife Cissi; her sister, Helen Ripkowski; sister-in-law, Frances Turner; grandchildren Ashley Bumgarner and husband Matthew, Bailey Doskocil, Hailie Mifflin; and great-grandchildren Hadley and McCoy Bumgarner. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will deeply miss her.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Magnolia Park with Deacon Archie Benham presiding. Pallbearers include Randy Ripkowski, Steven Ripkowski, Matthew Bumgarner, Miles Mifflin, Kenny Mifflin, and Paul Doskocil. Honorary pallbearers are David Taylor, Duane Daniel, Tommy Mifflin, Bubba Taylor and Lance Turner.
Jeanette’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her and loved her. May she rest in peace.
