Janie Hallman Watkins

Janie Hallman Watkins, 89, of Dayton passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019. Mrs. Watkins was born October 24, 1930 in McClelland, Arkansas to parents David Hallman and Carrie Carter Hallman.

Janie had lived in Dayton since 2006 after moving from Jal, New Mexico. She was a member of the Little Country Church in Crosby and enjoyed all church activities. She enjoyed gardening and raising birds. Her hobbies were crocheting and knitting.
Mrs. Watkins was preceded in death by parents; husband Earl Watkins; sisters, Bertha Fetters and Sharon Ferrell; brothers, Logan Hallman and Verner Hallman; son-in-law, Jeff Hawkins.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory are son, Carl Watkins and wife Cliffa of El Paso, Texas; daughter, Donna Hawkins of Dayton; grandchildren, Craig Watkins and wife Crystal, Chad Watkins, Jennifer Gauna and husband Stephen, Stephanie Shephard and husband James, Miranda Reader and husband Darrell and Tim Redd; great grandchildren, Cayden Watkins, Carlee Watkins, Joseph Bacon and wife Kati, Tori Shephard, Brendon Redd and Sofia Redd; one great great-grandchild, Eleanore Bacon; brothers, Adron Hallman of Homer, Louisiana and Clovis Hallman of Jal, New Mexico; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
