James William Otwell, age 70, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Monday, April 16, 2012 at Conroe Regional Medical Center. He was born November 04, 1941 in Van Buren, Arkansas to parents Charles Lotton and Bertha Pearl (Smith) Otwell. James was a 1962 graduate of New Caney High School; he retired from VetcoGray after 29 years of service; and attended Evergreen Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and building projects but his real passion was his family. He was married 35 years to the love of his life, Kay. James was a devoted husband, tireless dad, loving grandpa, and steadfast friend. Nothing was more important than his family; they were the light of his life and will forever miss him. He was preceded in death by both parents, Charles and Bertha Otwell; along with his siblings Charles Otwell Jr., Andy Ray, Bertha Marie Weir, Joyce Robbins, and Beverly Harris. Survivors include his loving wife, Kay Otwell; daughters, Kimberly Ceyanes and husband Jason, April Barricklo and husband Tommy; sons Rick Vick, Chuck Otwell and wife Karin, Steve Otwell and wife Kellie, Darrell Otwell and wife Ercie; sisters Barbara Leisner and husband Fred, Debbie Cangemi and husband Richard; grandchildren John Paul Vick, Christopher and Chelsea Otwell, Cole McDowell, Devin Otwell, Teresa and Nikki Otwell, Sharayah, Josh, Jace, Chloe, Judson, and J.R. Ceyanes, and Autumn Barricklo; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and faithful friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2012, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Gary Ladner will preside over graveside services being held Thursday, April 19, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Evergreen Community.
