James Leslie Sims, 63, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016, at a friend’s residence in Splendora.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Bold Springs Cemetery in Livingston. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.
James was born January 27, 1953 in Houston, to parents; James E. Sims and Willie D. Barnett, and has been a lifelong resident of Cleveland. He was a mechanic and known by many as a jack of all trades.
Mr. Sims was preceded in death by his father: James E. Sims, mother: Willie D. Barnett Fulcher, and sister: Judy Goodwin. He is survived by his son: James Sims, daughter: Patricia Ross, sisters: Betty Potter Gill and husband Walter and Leta Cherry and husband Charlie, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, friend: Josh Davis, and numerous other relatives, and friends.
