James R. “Jimmy” Reeves, 55, of Winnie, died Thursday, June 3, 2010, at the Winnie Community Hospital in Winnie. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 19, 2010, at the Winnie Park Pavilion. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Jimmy was born October 22, 1954 in Liberty, was a former resident of Anahuac, and has resided in the Winnie area for the past 30 years. He was a mechanic for Gulf Coast Golf Carts of Winnie, former employee of Marathon Oil and Baker Energy, and member of the Anahuac Masonic Lodge. He also enjoyed fishing, BBQs, the outdoors, and tinkering. Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his mother: Mildred M. Baker Davis, daughter: Danielle Reeves, and three brother and sisters. He is survived by his daughter: Amanda “Amy” Reeves of Groves, grandchildren: Madison Larson of Winnie and Hunter Keddy of Bridge City, sister: Gail Irwin of Baytown, four half-brothers and sisters, and numerous other relatives, and friends.
