James Elliott Burns, 65, of Dayton passed away December 15, 2021, in Warren, Michigan. James was born November 6, 1956, to parents John Franklin Burns and Joyce Headley Burns.
James was a born in Houston and had lived in Dayton most of his life. He was a former employee of Neal Construction. James loved riding his motorcycle, enjoyed his retirement life and his beloved dog Cindy.
James was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leslie Dale Burns and John Franklin Burns, Jr.; niece, Joyce Marie Vasquez and great-great niece, Rylee Manzano.
James is survived by his wife of 3 years, Leya Burns; children, Jaime Turner, Bubba Burns, and Jimmy Bynum; stepdaughter, Amanda Bergquist; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Debbie Crabb; 6 nieces, 4 nephews, and 23 great- nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Cindy
Services for James will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Dayton, with Rev. Mike Blackburn officiating.
We will have his last ride directly after the service and the ride will end at Outlaw Jacks in Liberty, Texas. You can follow ride to Outlaw Jacks,3216 Beaumont Ave, Liberty TX 77575. Bikes and cars are welcome on ride.
