James Carroll Roper

James Carroll Roper, age 70 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017. He was born September 26, 1946 in Houston, Texas to parents Ralph W. Roper and Dorothy Rash who preceded in death along with his step-father, F.E. Rash; and grandparents, Myrtle and Charles Rash.

Survivors include his daughters, Veronica and husband Adam Hale, Janie and husband Jimmy Marler; sons, James Carroll Roper, Raymond and wife Rosa Leininger, Robert and wife Kim Leininger; step-son, Sammy; sister, Elaine Rash; brothers, Ralph Roper and Curley Rash; twenty-four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 8, 2017 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
