Jackie Vernon Rippy Sr.

Jackie Vernon Rippy Sr., age 82 and a resident of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 at his home. He was born in Malbern, Illinois on May 14, 1931 to parents Harold and Violet Rippy who preceded him in death along with his son Ricky Rippy; and two brothers Robert Rippy and Paul Rippy. He was a steel mill worker by trade and retired from Northwestern Steel and Wire. Jackie had a passion for fishing and everyone knew he was a fisherman including his buddy and pal; “Major” his Irish Setter who would hop in the boat and go fishing too. He had a knack for building things; he was very creative. His family was the light of his life; he will be remembered lovingly. Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years Judith Ann Williamson-Rippy; sons Jackie Rippy Jr., James Rippy, Timothy Rippy, David Rippy, Brian Williams; Cheryl Denning, Vicki Bertolet, Lizann Williams, Windy Johnston, Lori Estrada, Shelly Williams, Christine Hayes, Rebecca Whetstone, Lisa Stewart; brother Larry Rippy; sister Jeanie Cushing; thirty-one grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other cherished family members and treasured friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
