J. W. Beard, 72, of Shepherd died Friday, October 14, 2011 in Humble. He was born August 3, 1939 in Garrison, Texas to parents Grady Day Beard and Susie Bell Rape Beard.
Services for Mr. Beard will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Cleveland with Bro. Carl Williamson officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday. Interment will follow at Farley Chapel in Shepherd.
Mr. Beard is survived by daughters: Tammy Jean Beard and companion, Terry Schaefer and Jerri Renee Davis and Tami Lilley; sisters: Margret Bradley of Rock, Kansas, Mary Smith of Danbury, Texas, Alice Beard of Conroe, Texas; brothers: Henry Beard and wife Sandy of Holly, Michigan, Edgar L. Beard and wife Debbie of Pontiac, Michigan, Aaron W. Beard of Pontiac, Michigan, Robert G. Beard and wife Pat of Livingston, Texas, and Daniel C. Beard and wife Willie Mae of Angleton, Texas; grandchildren: Rebecca D. Armitage, Deidra K. Armitage, John M. Armitage, Shawnee Francis, Shianne Davis, and Shaunessy Davis; great-grandchildren: Brayden Armitage, Brodee Thompson, Kirsty Francis, Brantley Ryder Craven, and Whitley Lorriane Ott; also numerous other relatives and a host offriends.
