James D. “J.D.” Boutin, Sr., 75, of Dayton, died Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at the Magnolia Place Nursing Home in Liberty.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2011, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at French Cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
J.D. was born January 1, 1936 in Honey Island, to parents; Clovis Boutin and Georgia Sue Sellers, a former resident of Saratoga, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 51 years. He was a graduate of the Saratoga High School class of 1954, retired superintendent from Brown and Root, a former volunteer for the United Way, and member of the Calvary Baptist Church and Pope Hunting Club. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Boutin was preceded in death by his father: Clovis Boutin, mother: Georgia Sue Sellers Murphy, son: Curtis Lee Boutin, and sister: Bobbie Spencer. He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Bonnie Thornton Boutin of Dayton, son: J. D. Boutin, Jr. and wife Patricia of Dayton, daughters: Janet Boutin of Dayton and Kimberley Davis and husband George of Porter, grandchildren: James D. Boutin, III of OK, Curtis Boutin of Dayton, Robert W. Blue, Jr. and wife Misty of Dayton, and Crystal Eppinette and husband Vernon, Jr. of Dayton, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
