J C Roberts

J C Roberts, 74, of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016, at his residence.

Memorial graveside services will be held at Caledonia Cemetery in Timpson, at a later date. Local arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

J C was born January 1, 1942 in Monroe, Louisiana, a former resident of Raywood, and has resided in Dayton since 1978. He was a veteran of the National Guard and a retired truck driver for numerous oil field services. He also enjoyed working in his yard, cooking, barbecues, and especially spending time with family.

Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his parents: Roy E. and Pearline Mae King Besch. He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Wanda Lou Harris Roberts of Dayton, sons: James C. Roberts and wife Jami of Dayton, Charles E. Roberts and wife Latonia of Louisiana, and Duane Burt and wife Leann of Lockhart, daughters: Mary Jane Cade and husband Grady of Moss Hill and Karen Sue Hayden and partner Leilani Melon of Louisiana, sister: Victoria Harris of Beaumont, grandchildren: Christopher Scott Roberts, James Calvin Roberts, Jr., Zachary Collin Roberts, Kaitlyn McKenzie Roberts, Grady Elliott Cade, III, Kimberly Michelle Howell Cade, Michael Colt Roberts, Warren Kyle Roberts, Stephanie Marie Hayden, Crystal Nicole Hayden, Cameron Michael Walton, Brody Alan Roberts, Jason Burt, Erin Smith, and Julie Burt, great-grandchildren: James Fisher Roberts, Noah Roberts, Jacoby Allen Scott, Nevaeh Michelle Paige Adams, Ethan Butch Hayden, Damion Jaxson Rouillier, Ryan Burt, Johnathan Burt, Bridget Smith, Levi Smith, Brooklyn Burt, Landon Cade, Ryan Cade, and Caleb Sanders, adopted daughter: Angel Haley and husband Wes, numerous other relatives, and friends.
