Irma H. Hearn, age 90, of Dayton, Texas, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012 in Cleveland, Texas.
Irma was born September 26, 1921 in Mont Belvieu, Texas to parents Philip and Barsa Hollingshead who preceded her in death along with her husband Donald Pratt. She was a retired bookkeeper after many years of service; a member of Tarkington Church of Christ and was God’s most loyal servant. Her most loved role in life was being a devoted wife, tireless mother, grandmother, and steadfast friend. She had a passion for flowers, singing a joyful tune and spending time with her family and friends in a home full of love and laughter.
She will be remembered loving by her son Philip Pratt; daughter Margie Stephens and husband Jimmy; brother Cecil Hollingshead and wife Ruth; sister Minnie Harris; grandchildren Donald Pratt and wife Sue, Wilma Templeton and husband Sammy, Jimmy Stephens Jr. and wife LaDonna; great-grandchildren Dewayne Purswell and wife Brittany, Deanna Hawthorne and husband Jake, Jasmine Pratt, Ariel Pratt, and Gabe Pratt, George Stephens, Elizabeth Stephens; great-great-grandchild Lance Hawthorne; numerous other cherished family members and faithful friends.
Mr. Don Prather will preside over funeral services being held Saturday, February 4, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Dayton, Texas. Friends may join the family for visitation prior to the service starting at 9:00 a.m. Following the funeral service, everyone will dismiss and meet for graveside services at 12:30 p.m., Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd., Baytown, Texas 77521. Pallbearers include Donald Pratt, Jimmy Stephens Jr., Sammy Templeton, Dewayne Purswell, Gabe Pratt, and Jake Hawthorne; honorary pallbearers include Jack Chambers, David Carter and Bill Nelson.
