Irma G. Nichols, 76, of Dayton, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 in Liberty. She was born December 14, 1941 in Houston to her parents, Francisco and Eluteria Zepeda Guerrero.
Mrs. Nichols was a resident of Dayton for 50 years where she was employed at Thrif-Tee Food Center for 25 years. She previously resided in Houston. Mrs. Nichols was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. She enjoyed listening to country music and baking.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony Nichols; sister, Frances Luna; son-in-law, Kenny Lewis; mother-in-law, Jean Nichols and father-in-law, Ed Nichols.
Survivors include sons, Michael Rodriguez and Tyson Scott Nichols; daughters, Sue Key and her husband, Terry; Tyra Ballard and Audra Manfred; grandchildren, Kris, Nathan and Ryan Lewis; Tiffany and Sarah McKinney, Matthew Tieman; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Nathan, Noah, Jayden, Eli, Silas, Logan and Dylan; and one on the way. Also survived by her sisters, Maria Coronado and husband Felipe, Yolanda Guerrero, Stella Mata and husband, Jose, Patricia Puente, Elizabeth Jimenez and brother, Frank Guerrero and wife, Stella; brother-in-law, Terry Nichols and wife Norma.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 29, 2018, with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Dayton, Texas, with Father Ryzard Zawadzki officiating. Burial will follow at Palms Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton.
Pallbearers will be Kris Lewis, Nathan Lewis, Ryan Lewis, Justin Nichols, Matthew Tieman and Tyler Norwood. Honorary Pallbearers, Arthur Jimenez and Eric Guerrero.
