Ira B. Burwick, affectionately known as R. B., was born on October 29, 1934, on Tarkington Prairie. He lived a full and meaningful life, marked by his deep love for family, unwavering kindness, and commitment to his community. Ira’s journey on this earth came to a close on August 18, 2024, in Magnolia, Texas, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished for generations.

 Throughout his life, R. B. was renowned not only for his gentle spirit but also for the bonds he forged with those around him. He worked hard, held strong values, and always put his family’s needs first. He was a loyal husband to his wife, Jeanette, devoted father to his daughter, Mary Jeanine Ramon, and her husband Ralph. R. B. took immense pride in his family, sharing countless joyful moments with his grandchildren, Madison Claire Hamel and Faithe Marie Ramon. His nurturing nature extended to his siblings, with whom he shared a cherished and enduring connection: sisters Carolyn Marie Lewis, Edna Murriel Arnold, and Gwenda Sue Bittick, as well as brothers Hampton Lloyd Burwick, Larry Burwick, and Edgar Lee Burwick. His familial ties were further enriched by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom held a special place in his heart. R. B. was predeceased by his wife, Jeanette Burwick, parents, Gilbert and Eunice Burwick, and his sister Sylvia Jean Bradley. Their memories have remained woven into R. B’s life story, serving as a source of inspiration and love.

 The community of Dayton and beyond is invited to pay their respects during the visitation scheduled for August 24, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at the First Methodist Church of Dayton. This gathering will take place at 106 S Cleveland St., Dayton, TX 77535, honoring a life well-lived and the profound impact R. B. had on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

 In celebrating Ira B. Burwick’s life, we recognize the love, dedication, warmth, and, especially, the sense of humor that he brought to this world. He will be forever remembered in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
