Inez Swanson

Inez Swanson , age 88 and a resident of Splendora, Texas since 1952, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013. She was born June 05, 1924 in Converse Louisiana to parents Colonel Clarence Jordan and Henrietta Price Jordan who preceded her in death along with her husband W.L. “Rusty” Swanson; daughter Doretha Swanson Roberts and two sisters. Inez lived life with a heart full of love; she loved flowers, butterflies, crocheting, drawing and coloring. She was a kind and giving person; a devoted wife, tireless mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, loving sister, and steadfast friend. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and her church family at Calvary Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Survivors include her sons Troy Swanson and wife Linda, Bobby Swanson and wife Brenda, Jerry Swanson and wife Cheri; daughter Candy Swanson Benner and husband Gary; brother R.C. Jordan and wife Betty; sister Frances Jordan Thornton; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and faithful friends throughout the years. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 28, 2013, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Carl Williamson will preside over funeral services being held 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 29, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Ryan Cemetery. Pallbearers include Wesley Swanson, Bobby Swanson, Jr., Shannon Roberts, Greg Roberts, Keith Benner, and Mikey Stephens; honorary pallbearers Gregory Roberts Jr. and Travis Roberts.
