Ima L. Stephens Bexley

Ima L. Stephens Bexley, 87, of Dayton passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011 in Liberty after an extended illness.   She was born February 13, 1924 in Nacogdoches, Texas to parents John Allen and Mina Boyett Stephens.  She attended schools in Nacogdoches, moved to Houston where she worked for Hughes Tool Company for thirty six and a half years and was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.  She had lived in Dayton since 1995 where she was a member of the First Baptist Church.  Services for Mrs. Bexley will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February19, 2011 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Hill officiating.  Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m., Saturday at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Nacogdoches.  The family will receive friends 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Bexley was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings and her husband, Robert Kenneth Bexley.  She is survived by her son:  Steve Bexley of Dayton; her daughter-in-law:  Mary Bexley of Dayton; her grandchildren:  Sherry Zimmerman and husband David of North Carolina, Catherine Collie and husband Larry of Dallas, Stephen Bexley of Liberty, and Jonathan “J.D.” Bexley of Dayton; also numerous other relatives and friends.
