Hurley Lee Lucas

Hurley Lee Lucas (Butch) was born January 29, 1943 in Cleveland, Texas to parents, Hardy Lloyd Lucas and Jewel Lavern Stricklan Lucas. He went to his Heavenly Home on November 23, 2023 at the age of 80. Hurley served our country for two tours in the Vietnam War. While in the Navy, he enjoyed boxing. He was born and raised in Splendora, Texas where he was voted Most Handsome every year in high school. Hurley was a very simple man, he enjoyed the outdoors and especially fishing. He spent his life surrounded by family, whom he loved most.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Jewel Lucas; wife, Cynthia Lucas; son, Logan Lucas; brother, Roy Lucas; sister, Marilyn Lucas Couch. Hurley is survived by his beloved children, Melissa (Missy) Jones and husband Eddy, Paula Muck and husband Geoffrey, Lisa Oglesby and husband Jay, Jason Williams and wife Mary, Adam Williams and fiancé, Kelley; brother, Weldon Lucas and wife Judy; grandchildren, Grant Jones and partner Rebekkah, Presley Jones, Christian Muck, Noah Muck and wife Heaven, Jasmyn Oglesby, Lillian Lucas, Loran Lucas, Myles Lucas, Lonnie Lamb, Rebecca Wolfe, Jessica Claudill and husband Josh, Jordan Williams, Kayla Williams, Hannah Williams, Nathan Williams, Brandon Williams and partner Derrick; great-grandchildren, Logan, Jaycee, Jaylyn, Mayson, Addisyn, Noah, Harmony, Evie, Dylyn, Khighten, Serena, Korbyn; numerous other family and friends.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the CT Church in New Caney at 12pm with son-in-law Geoffrey Muck and pastors Ernie Parker, and Roger Obergon officiating.
