Hugh Nelson Jetton

Hugh Nelson Jetton, 83, of Dayton passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at Dayton-Tarkington Care Center. Mr. Jetton was born September 2, 1932 in Edna, Texas to parents, Lathy Wells Jetton and Evelyn Anna Rodgers Jetton. He was a graduate of Edna High School and attended the University of Texas. He received his degree in mechanical engineering. Hugh served in the United States Air Force. He was a resident of the Dayton area for the past few years and was previously of Houston. Hugh enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and was always working on his own inventions. A graveside memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Memory Gardens of Edna. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. Mr. Jetton was preceded in death by his parents; son, Wesley Jetton; daughter, Janis Jetton; and brothers, Lathy W. Jetton, Jr. and Alfred Jetton. He is survived by sister, Betty Canon; grandchildren, Jason Jetton, Hunter Jetton, and Jamie Jetton; great-grandchild, Charlotte Jetton; also numerous other relatives and friends.
