Hilda Laza, 88, of Dayton passed away Thursday, October 3, 2019 at home in Dayton. Mrs. Laza was born September 28, 1931 in Dayton, Texas to parents, Robert Rodrick Fielder and Era Alice Wells Fielder.
Service for Hilda will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 at Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Ryan Cemetery in Dayton under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home.
Hilda was a lifelong resident of Dayton. She attended Dayton School. She was a founding member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was very active throughout the years. Hilda was a talented hair stylist in Dayton for over 40 years. She loved receiving cards and loved watching hummingbirds.
Mrs. Laza was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward Laza; infant daughter, Priscilla Laza; brothers, Robert Fielder, Wells Thomas “Tom” Fielder, John Charles “Buddy” Fielder; sisters, Oma Sue Barker and Mauritta Doris Wetherbee; granddaughter-in-law, Jodie Laza. She is survived by her sons, Thomas Edward Laza and wife Alice of Hondo and Randy Paul Laza and wife Kathie of Dayton; grandsons, Michael Laza, Paul Laza and wife Crystal, Frank Laza and wife Jennifer, and Travis Laza and wife Hannah; great-grandchildren, Jade-Michael Laza, Wayne Laza, Lexie Laza, and Cecilia Laza; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
