Herbert Gwen Green, Jr.

Herbert Gwen Green, Jr., 67, of Dayton passed away July 9, 2019 in Crockett. He was born August 28, 1951 in Liberty, Texas to parents Herbert Gwen Green, Sr. and Minnie Storey Green.
Service for Mr. Green will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Charles officiating. Interment will follow at French Cemetery in Kenefick. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at Pace-Stancil in Dayton. Serving as pallbearers will be Tryson Brock, Andy Green, Tryston Brock, Chris Greer, Lewis Lamb, and Bailey Sorenson. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Don Thomas and Leroy Stubblefield.
Herbert was a lifelong resident of Dayton. He attended Dayton schools and was a member of the class of 1970. He loved his church and was a longtime member of the Simmons Bottom Assembly of God Church. Herbert was a true cowboy, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and running heavy equipment. He loved his children and grandchildren and liked having a good time.
Mr. Green was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Storey Green. He is survived by his father, Herbert Green, Sr.; daughters, Patricia Ladner and husband Richard, Angela Brock and husband Tryson, Donna Luna and husband Arthur, III, Susan Green, Stephanie Brown and husband Wayne and Amanda Green; stepdaughters Brandi Driggers and Rachel Greer and husband Chris; sixteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one on the way; also numerous friends and relatives.
