Helen Jean Johnson

Helen “Honey” Jean Johnson, age 82, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013. She was born in Liberty County, Texas on March 18, 1930 to parents Richard Austin Sr. and Fannie May Austin who preceded her in death along with her sons Jackie Ray Johnson and Jimmy Lee Johnson Jr.; sisters Mary Austin, Amelia Jordon, Bessie May Austin, and Josephine Smith; brothers Richard Austin Jr., Charlie Lee Austin and Jessie Lee Austin. Survivors include his daughters Phoebe Brooks; sons Clarence Earl Johnson, Johnny Ray Johnson; fourteen grandchildren; countless great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and many other cherished family members and faithful friends. Visitation will be held Friday, February 22, 2013, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Pastor Morris Brooks will preside over funeral services being held Saturday, February 23, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel with interment following at Cleveland Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers include Robert Foster Jr., Cedric Foster, Tracy Wade Sr., Tracy Wade Jr., Xavier Wade, and Reginald Ligons; honorary pallbearers include Bubba Toler, Robert Foster Sr., Clarence Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Pat Malone, and Morris Brooks Sr.
