Heather Tanner Humes, age 40, a resident of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in Conroe, Texas. She was born March 24, 1972 in Houston, Texas. Heather was a very special person. She loved everyone through all of their faults. She forgave people quickly that had wronged her and prayed for everyone with whom she came into contact. She loved her family dearly. She loved her husband, Scott Humes, with all that she had. Heather loved to fish, something Scott got her into wanting to do as frequently as he does. She was his best fishing partner and rarely missed an opportunity to go. Her best vacation was when she and Scott went to a fishing cabin in Riverside and they learned about jug-line fishing for catfish. She even taught Scott how to clean catfish. Scott was the love of her life and Heather was Scott’s. Heather was an amazing mother. One of her greatest joys was her children, who she put before anything else. She would do whatever it took to make sure they had what they needed. She was a wife, daughter, a sister, and a wonderful mother. She is preceded in death by her father Kenneth Tanner. Heather leaves her precious memories to her devoted husband Scott Humes; mothers Deborah Tanner/Susan Husij; daughters Caitlyn Harrison, Amber Jo Humes-Fernandes, Carol Humes; sons David Caleb Harrison and Zachary Fernandes; sisters Tracy Tanner-Davis and Courtney Tanner; grandchildren Juliet Chattin, Anthony Chattin; niece Alexandra Davis; nephew Nicholas Davis; other survivor Cody Harrison; and faithful friends beyond measure. Visitation will be held Friday, November 30, 2012, 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Coldspring, Texas. Pastor Jerry Hovator will preside over graveside services being held Saturday, December 01, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen Community, Cleveland, Texas.
