Hazel V. Tousha Fregia Shuptrine, 86, of Liberty died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Magnolia Place in Liberty. She was born March 25, 1924 in Brookland, Texas to parents: Louis Tousha, Sr. and Jo Anna Donahoe Tousha. She was a long time resident of Daisetta where she attend Daisetta schools and served during World War II in the US Army Air Corp as Private First Class, receiving the WWII Victory Medal. Four brothers and her husband also served during WWII at the same time. Mrs. Shuptrine enjoyed hunting, fishing, and crocheting. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 17, 2011 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Dayton with Rev. John Odom officiating. Interment will follow at Village Mills Cemetery in Kountze. Visitation will be 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. Mrs. Shuptrine was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: C.D. Tousha, J.L. Tousha, J.B. Tousha, and Louis Tousha, Jr., sister: Anna Bell Davis; husbands, Lawrence Fregia and Ellis Shuptrine. She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Shuptrine of Willis, three grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
