Hattie Marie Wierzowiecki, 87, of Dayton passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 in Dayton. She was born February 16, 1931 in Dayton, Texas to parents Andrew and Mary Cone Wierzowiecki.
Visitation for Ms. Wierzowiecki will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday evening. Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 14, 2018 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 804 South Cleveland, Dayton. Interment will follow at Liberty Catholic Cemetery.
Hattie grew up in Dayton and was a 1947 graduate of Dayton High School. She had lived most of her life in Houston. She retired as a vice-president of Manchester Terminal. She later worked as a clerk for Wright Abshire Attorneys in Houston and volunteered at M.D. Anderson. Hattie was treasurer of Women’s Transportation Club of Houston of which she was a member since 1984.
She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her sisters and brothers, Josephine Svoboda of Crosby, James Wierzowiecki and wife Wanita of LaMarque, Theresa Graves and Greg Black of Dayton, and John Wierzowiecki and wife Patty of Dayton; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
