Harvie Lee Guinn, 78, of Dayton, died Monday, June 2, 2014, at the Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2014, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Harvie was born November 27, 1935 in Seminole, OK, to parents; William I. and Dora M. Snow Guinn, a former resident of Corpus Christi, and has resided in Dayton for the past 30 years. He was a retired machinist from Austin Industries, volunteered with Boy Scouts and Little League, and was registered with Muscogee Creek Nation. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Guinn was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 59 years: Nancy I. Orsack Guinn, daughter: Pamela Sue Mills, sisters: Rachael Christine Guinn and Ora Loretta Huntington, and brother-in-law: Gordon Huntington, Sr. He is survived by his son: Ron L. Guinn and wife Michelle of Dayton, daughter: Patricia A. Griffin and husband Terry of Dayton, grandchildren: Joshua Mills, Michael Mills, Beverly Guinn, Derek Guinn, Keegan Griffin, Tonya Gangluff and husband Paul, and Stacy Sutton, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
