Mr. Harry Dugat, 73, of Dayton passed away, May 25, 2014 in Sylacauga, Alabama. He was born in Dayton on October 16, 1940 to parents Joe Welder Dugat and Henrietta Gates Dugat. Harry was a lifelong resident of Dayton, attended Dayton schools, and worked for many years at Milchem before his retirement. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. Harry enjoyed music, hunting, and fishing. He most of all enjoyed talking to his friends and never seemed be at a loss for words. He loved being with his family. Services for Mr. Dugat will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Faircloth officiating. Interment will follow at Palms Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2014 at the funeral home. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 25 years, Julia Annette Wilcher Dugat. He is survived by his daughters: Lisa Chandler and husband, Jimmy of Sylacauga, Alabama and Debbie Chennault and husband, Darrel of Crosby; his son: Harry “Bud†Dugat and wife, Dana of Tarkington; grandchildren: James Landrum, Jr. of Alabama, Amanda Landrum of Crosby, Beverlie Jahnke of Crosby, Brandon Chennault of Crosby, and Kerri Chapman of Tarkington; numerous great grandchildren; brother: Joe Dugat of Hutig, Arkansas; sister: Frances Fore of Liberty; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
